McCann Case

  • McCann Case

The story of the missing girl Magdaliene McCann has been on going for a while. There is now a major twist in the case, her parents are now suspects. Is this a surprise? In as much as every parent will try to get public attention to the abduction of a child, i personally think that thre is a little bit of the puzzle missing in the McCann case.

Is it Brain Drain or Brain Waste that perturbs Ghana?

  • Is it Brain Drain or Brain Waste that perturbs Ghana?

We have all heard big talks on brain drain in Ghana, and Africa as whole. Even without looking at data, it's indisputable that the best human capital of Africa are being used in non-African lands. This has deceived numerous African leaders and thinkers to attribute the "tortoise" progress of the continent to this famous phenomenon called brain drain. Though brain drain, without an iota of doubt, is a reality, whether or not, Africa (Ghana) could have currently done better without it is debatable.

My only Fear-my mind

  • My only Fear-my mind

My only fear is my mind,
    my thoughts and my desires,
a feeling that impossible is impossible

My only fear is my mind
    its cravings and ideals
deals it strikes and paths it sees

My only fear is my mind
the loopholes it sees in the system
    the risky oppurtunities it sees

    My heart the only mate
    that thoroughly dissects the mind
    and inserts emotion

    My mind and my heart
a dangerous combination of imaginations and emotions

My life defined by my mind and lived via ma heart

    Intrigues my mind
    If not lifts my lips

the deeds of compromise and pretence

    A society in conflict
    Derelict by definition
    Spineless by stature
    Deaf by opinion

    Elitist Conformist,
    liberal, ultra conservative Doctors,
    Economist, Architects, Engineers and
Public relation officers the worst of them all,

I dont wanna wanna says the masses
All we need is a decent abode and
A decent chance to make life worth living

The Lesson For Today is Efficiency Wages!

  • The Lesson For Today is Efficiency Wages!

Many workers in Ghana feel like unappreciated housewives! Why? Because they feel what they earn are far less than the value of their services they offer (Could any inspired soul do a simple survey analysis to test this claim?). I wonder, however, if managers/employers/bosses know the consequences of cheating the worker! As it's in the best interest of the president to satisfy the military, the hirer better not piss off the hired! Why?

If i had just 5 minutes to teach a politician Economics, I would tell him/her about the Money equation:
    MV = PY
where M is the amount of money in the economy; V is the velocity of money and it's just a measure of the number of times a cedi note changes hands (In other words, it's a measure of the rate at which transaction takes place); P is the price level of the economy; and Y is the real GDP or output level of the economy (normally called the economic pie). Y includes all final goods and services produced in the country.

    Reality or Conspiracy§

I feel like just spilling out my thoughts.

It feel like my country and its people are good and hardworking. A country with a great culture and history.

It is however interesting to note that, intolerance is becoming a major problem amongst Ghanaians. I am just talking from my experiences.

It feels like the rule of the day is like; any views contrary to that of the majority should be shunned and suppressed. These views could be along the lines of politics, religion, education, sexuality etc.

I know how important religion is and how it plays a major role in the lives of many Ghanaians.

Reality or Conspiracy

  • Reality or Conspiracy

I sit here not knowing where to start from. It is without doubt that i do however have things on my mind.

My view of the world and its so called morals and virtues are blurred. Is this reality or just a conspiracy.

A blurred vision? A blair vision??? This is my way of seeing this world today and where it heads towards. A bush vision or what?

I will concentrate on just talking about general and random things as they pop up my mind. Nice and simple. He he. Something similar to Pub-Talk.

There is no doubt that most of the prominent politicians of our world today engaged in politics right from university. Look at Clinton, Nkrumah,Mugabe, Mandela, Jack Straw, Blair, Charles Kennedy, the list goes on. These are politicians who were involved in politics right from thier student days and have one way or the other left indelible marks etched on the landscapes of thier respective countries if not the world at large.

IS JADE 'Poppadom' Goody Racist?

  • IS JADE 'Poppadom' Goody Racist?

    IS JADE GOODY RACIST?

This is the question on the lips on lots of people and the major discussion that took place during my lunch break today.

Hmm where do i start from? I really dont know but in short it was a cold afternoon and about eight male souls gathered to have the normal chit chat that happens at lunch time.

The issue of Jade and her insults to Shilpa Shetty were raised. There were different views on the remarks by Jade.

Well, surprisingly i found it a bit difficult to classify her RACIST. I am not defending her. In as much as she is naive ill-educated and her views remarks were revolting i think that her remarks and reaciton to Shilpa highlighted the fact that prejudices towards foreign people in the uk is not a thing of the past. Well if that makes them racist i will leave for another day.
