To apply for a student visa the following are some of the essential tips that should help you

• Get a passport if you do not have one - Give it a least 6months to apply for passport because there could be delays in processing new passports.
• Get your letter of admission/offer before you go to the British high commision to apply for a student visa
• Ensure you have all your necessary documents
• Do not book flights before you are granted your visa
• Give yourself enough time between application and start of course( at least five moths-may differ in different countries.)
