Gyasi K. Dapaa a promising young Economist had his primary and secondary education in Ghana before gaining admission into Ohio Wesleyan University , Ohio, United States in 2001.

GK Dapaa holds a B. A. degree in Mathematics (with Statistics Concentration) and Economics, a Minor in Computer Science (2001-2005) and M. A. degree in Economics (2005-2006). At Ohio Weslyan University he attained numerous Academic Laurels
in the Mathematics and Computer science department.

GKDapaa as he is affectionately called by all, is currently pursuing a Ph. D. program in Economics at University of Virginia (Charlottesville, Virginia).
GKDapaa primarily sees himself as an Economist who is interested in Statistical Analysis, Actuarial Science and Mathematics and its Applications.

He finds delight in discussing Economics in simple ways and enjoys picking the minds of want-to-be future leaders of developing countries. He also enjoys talking to other Economists, Economic students and researchers about Industrial Organization, Econometrics, and Labor Economics.

GKDapaa is currently undertaking two initiative projects. The first is called ‘Projects to Accelerate Micro-Economic Development in Ghana (PAMEGHA)Read about PAMEGHA Initiativewhich umbrellas specific projects such as: Development through Computational Excellence; Curbing Informational Asymmetry for the Emergence and Survival of Ghanaian Insurance and Financial Markets; Emphasizing Consumer Protection in Ghanaian Markets etc.

In addition to the above he is also the founder of SIRIUS ECONSUL-(Economics and Statistics Consulting Firm) a new start up which provides consulting services in Economics and Statistics.

In his spare time GKD loves to .......ride bicycle, eat and sleep.
