Health Registration
International Minority Students
For all students who are new to the country the most important thing about the health system in the UK is that you have to register with a GP as soon as you arrive at your institution of study. This is sometimes organised by universities but not necessarily always. So you are advised to register as soon as possible upon arriving the UK. Registration is Free under the National Health System. The NHS is free for all and therefore you should not worry about paying to see doctor. you may have to pay for your prescriptions generally.
British Minority Students
It is essential to change your GP when you move from one city to the other. You do not want to be sorting out paper work when you are ill. Refer to the NHS website for general information about Health issues and other contacts relevant to your locality.
