Background:
10 Unis battling on the football pitch to find who will be crowned best team in London. It’s a chance for some to represent their Uni while others will come down to represent all for bragging rights. This is a charity event to raise awareness in this event will be donated to a charity of the winning Uni’s choice. This will be a good sports competition and also each match will be played in a good spirit.
Layout:
• The event is free and we encourage people to come and represent their ACS teams from their respective Uni.
• 10 teams with two groups of five
• Each team plays the other 4 in the group and a table of results is formed to determine the top 2 teams in each group
• Knockout phase and the winner is crowned
• High profile personality within the black community will be invited to present the trophy and medals
• Winning team receives Trophy to take till next year
Draw:
The draw will take place on the day with all team captains present at 10:45am. As we will be using bibs we have 5 different variations. There will be two teams wearing the same colour however they will be in different groups. 10 folded pieces of paper containing the colour of the team as well as the group. For example if City draw Blue 1 then they will wear the Blue bibs and be in group 1

Important Additional information
1. As some teams have kits and others don’t and we were unable to secure enough to have a universal look. We have decided to go with bibs. Therefore could all teams ensure that their players only come in preferably white or grey but if this is not possible then the only other option is black. Please do not wear any other colours as this could conflict with the bibs.
2. Come rain or shine the competition must and will go ahead so be prepared to play in any conditions as the professionals do.
3. Please provide some balls for your team to practice with when they are not playing. The match balls have been covered
4. There is a shop about 15 minutes walk (there and back) away from the pitch so get some to help you run to the shop to get anything you might need.
5. It is extremely important all players are at the pitch by 10:30. I don’t believe the stereotype that we black people are always late and disregard time. So please let’s make this work the event is only as successful we all make it
6. Note that this a very serious competition and only the team that want the trophy most will get it so give it your all but this doesn’t mean it isn’t fun.
7. Bring your fans for support as you might really need them in tough times.
8. Please do not hesitate to let me know if your team cannot make it for Saturday as there are so many teams waiting to acquire that space even at the last minute
9. Trophy is sole property of Minority Students Project and will be used for future competitions so the winner must vow to return it to City University by December 31st 2008 for engraving of the winners name onto the trophy.
10. We are certain we can improve and expand the competition next year to incorporate more teams. However only the finalist are guaranteed a space for next year’s competition.
Team captains are responsible for collecting the bibs back from their players after the competition
Conclusion:
By the end of this tournament we would know which ACS has the best team. It is also an opportunity for students to mingle with others from different Unis. Hopefully the event is successful enough for it to be repeated next year where the champions will put themselves on the line once again. This is more than just an ACS event or a football competition. It is the coming together to celebrate what we are in the area of sport.

Inter-University ACS 7 a-side Football Cup.
History in the Making. Football legends to be unearthed
At long last the much awaited Official national ACS Event is here.
10 ACS teams from different Unis and there can only be 1 winner.
This is the first tounament of its kind so there is a lot at stake including the bragging rights. This is also a fund raising event as we aim to support 2 charities.
So many can talk the talk but can they even kick a ball. If your ACS have some real skills there will be no better stage to perform on. If you cant play then don't come down simple. However some of us are ready and waiting.
Participating teams:
City Uni ACS
UCL ACS
Queen Mary ACS
Kent Uni ACS
Warwick ACS
Lincoln ACS
